The Grand Banks 36' Classic is a highly regarded aft cabin trawler with the reliable and economical twin 135 HP Ford Lehman diesel engines. She has an open flybridge with upper and lower helms and a sun deck. A teak swim platform, electric anchor windlass and bow pulpit with bronze roller, aluminum mast and boom and a dinghy cradle. The flybridge has a full enclosure and screens for all windows and both doors. The bridge cushions were new last year.
The interior is bright and airy with beautiful teak cabinets and comfortable accommodations. A generous wine storage cabinet, new upholstery in the main salon. Full galley to port with Grunert refrigeration and a propane stove.
The master stateroom is aft and offers two beds on both port and starboard. The starboard side being the largest. A spacious amount of drawer and locker storage along with a head and shower.
"Polar Bear" is in wonderful condition both below and above decks. The exterior varnish is fresh and pretty. She is a very sound and clean and well maintained yacht.
Accommodations in two private staterooms.The main salon upholstery was renewed one year ago. Dinette is to starbaord. The lower helm mid-ships is to starboard. Sony flat screen TV/DVD player. The forward stateroom/V-berth has a privacy door, hanging locker and full head with vanity, sink and shower. New upholstery.
The aft stateroom has a double bed to starboard and one twin size bed to port with a dresser in-between and a huge hanging locker to port. A full head with vanity, sink and shower. Companionway to aft deck from stateroom. New upholstery.
Galley
The galley is located to port with large windows making it very bright and airy. Propane stove with oven, LPG control. Grunert refrigeration, large stainless steel sinks and lots of storage cabinets and lockers. Hot and cold pressure water system. Formica counter tops, teak parquet cabin sole throughout.
Electrical
12-volt, 110-volt shore power. Automatic battery charger, (2) new batteries in August, battery selector switch. Volvo 5-KW generator (1120 hrs.). Compass. Bilge pump, 12-volt outlets, windshield wipers. (2) sump pumps.
(2) marine air conditioning units with heat. 16,000 BTU.
