Custom FeaturesEdit DescriptionsAccommodations
COMFORT, SPACE, LIGHT, AND FUNCTIONALITY, all characteristic of the interiors on Hunter sailing yachts, are particularly evident in the 420 Hunter. The center cockpit design provides two roomy double staterooms, each with its own private head, plus a convertible saloon dinette to provide even more overnight accommodations. Abundant teak wood work, sturdy and attractive upholstery, built-in lighting, practical cabin soles, Corian and other easy to maintain surfaces combine to create a warm, inviting, yet practical enviroment below decks. Plenty of overhead hatches, most equipped with a built-in screen and shade system, and cabin-side portlights flood the spaces with natural light.
FOREWARD SUITE. Aft of the chain locker, an easy-maintenance head occupies the forepeak. With standing headroom well in excess of six feet, the head features a Quiet-Flush toilet, shower, Corian-topped vanity, and plenty of storage. A solid door opens into the roomy Pullman style stateroom, another space with abundant drawers, shelves, hanging lockers and cabinets for stashing your gear. The berth with its inner spring mattress lies to starboard. There's even a built-in seat to plop into on the port side while you slip into your Topsiders. Louvered shutters above the head of the berth open into the saloon for social times or close for privacy. Heading aft, a solid door leads into the saloon.
SALOON AND GALLEY. A convertible, c-shaped dinette to starboard faces a settee to port, providing a welcoming venue for dining, conversation, or just relaxin. Thoughtfully designed storage space, cabinets and shelves absorb all the gear and goods you want to bring aboard. Just aft of the dinette, a complete forward facing nav station provides the navigator with plenty of elbow -- and chart -- room. To port, aft of the settee, the spacious, practical, and efficient galley provides a space any sea-borne chef would envy. It's complete with Force 10 three-burner propane stove and oven, top and side opening refrigerator, freezer, a stainless steel double sink, microwave oven, abundant storage and Corian counter space.
MASTER STATEROOM SUITE. From the saloon, head aft in a starboard side passageway, bracketed on the left by a large hanging locker and on the right by the insulated engine space and electrical system panels. Step into the master stateroom, one of the most accommodating to be found on any 42 footer. With full headroom throughout, the centerpiece is a walkaround queen island berth with its inner spring mattress on top and storage below. To starboard, you'll find an array of lockers, cabinets, even a pull out desk top; to port, there's even more cabinetry and storage and, of course, the suite's private head, even more spacious than the forward head.
