Accommodations
The interior design of Skalliwag is similar to the interior layout of the Pacific Seacraft built 37's but the execution is much different. As Pacific Seacraft uses several fiberglass liners this interior is completely stick built all bonded and tabbed into the hull. Starting forward the offset double berth and dressing seat a very similar to the PS built boats. There is storage adjacent to the berth with three lockers and a shelf above, teak battens on the hull sides, three drawers just aft followed by a large hanging locker. The head is next aft to starboard with a Lavac head, shower and seat for showering. There are three lockers for storage and a teak grate. Next aft is the main salon with a straight settee to port and an L-shaped settee to starboard with a fixed centerline table designed to be used in multiple configurations. Next aft to port is the large nav desk and the galley is across. There is a quarterberth aft to port that has been used by the current owners as storage. The matching cover is available but the foam is no longer available. There is no cushion currently for the quarterberth. Engine access is under the companionway stairs with opening doors for regular access and the entire cover removes for even better access.
Galley
The galley in Skalliwag is compact but has all of the features needed for keeping the crew happy. There is abundant storage in outboard lockers and an overhead locker above the sink and more storage below the sink and aft of the refrigerated boxes

Deck and hull
Skalliwag is a double headsail yawl rig. Unlike some yawl rigged boats of this size the rigging is out of the way and does not hinder movement on deck. The deck layout is such that the boat is easy to work on and is a safe deck to work on. The bulwarks get progressively higher as you go forward and the lifelines are higher than those found on other boats. The stern pulpit has been made with a solid top rail all the way to the gates for extra security.  The hull and deck were repainted in 2004 and she shines.

Sails and rigging
With her yawl rig, Skalliwag's sails can be configured for most conditions. She has an inner forestay to be sailed as a cutter and the stay can be moved out of the way for ease of tacking in crowded areas. The running backstays have been modified to raise the four to one block and tackles higher so that they can be used to hoist the dinghy aboard and if necessary, as a safety feature, to hoist a person in the water back onboard with the Lifesling.
